Expert Care, Coaching, and Consulting to Improve Your Quality of Life
I am Paula Phillips, a nationally certified Occupational Therapist (OTR) licensed in Texas and author. For over 20 years, I have equipped individuals with practical strategies to overcome physical and mental health challenges, helping them regain independence and confidence after an illness, injury, or new diagnosis. My mission is to empower people to rebuild their lives with confidence, resilience, and renewed purpose.
My experience includes leading therapy teams, teaching rehabilitation strategies, developing therapy protocols, and working in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and home health care. Guided by compassion and patience I partner with individuals to optimize their quality of life.
While working in various healthcare settings, I saw the impact of irreversible physical, neurological, and cognitive changes due to Hospital-Acquired Disability (HAD)—a decline in the ability to care for oneself after hospitalization, even when the original illness was treated. Many of these outcomes could have been prevented with earlier intervention and education. Limited access to therapy and prevention resources often leaves patients and families unprepared.
After witnessing these avoidable declines and facing my own health challenges, I founded Calibrating Lyfe. My mission is to provide accessible occupational therapy, proactive care strategies, and quality-of-life consulting to help people recover faster, stay independent, and thrive despite medical challenges.
If you’re dealing with a health issue or just feel stuck, I can help you figure out what to do next.
I offer:
You’ll get a clear plan, focused care, and no pressure. Just steps that make sense.
Let’s take the next one together.
